Communication Partners are a wonderful group that works in our wonderful Rotherham community, assisting people that have been affected by Aphasia, a terrible side affect that effects speech after a stroke.
Communication Partners in this video, talk about the work they do in the community and how they primarily want to increase the awareness of Aphasia connecting with the community, improving understanding, and making people aware that there is a volunteer led partnership out their to assist individuals and families in Rotherham.
They are also on the search for more volunteers to support people who are affected by stroke in the community, and how they would like to assist the individual and the volunteer with, online groups that allow members to talk about their experiences.
They also talk about why the created a community on Ask My Community, and how they hope people will interact with them online.
Since this community went live on Ask My Community, the group has received a request for a member of the community to become a volunteer within three hours of the site going live. But they are always looking for more, so if you have been inspired to help someone in the community, why not become a member of the Communication Partners Team Here.
